Panadol Paracetamol Suspension For Baby & Infant contains 120 mg of paracetamol in each 5 ml of the suspension and provides effective temporary relief from pain and fever in infants and babies from 2 months onwards. Paracetamol is a mild analgesic and antipyretic, recommended for the treatment of most painful and febrile conditions. • The right dose to give your baby will depend on their age and/or weight. Use the simple chart provided with the pack to match your child s weight (or their age if you don’t know their weight) to the correct dosage for that group.
• Shake the bottle. Measure the required amount in a syringe or dropper (see diagram below). Either drop directly onto the child’s tongue or mix with a little juice or water first.
• NOTE: Do not give to your child more frequently than every 4 hours. Do not give to your child more than four doses in any 24 hour period. Do not give it to your child for longer than 3 days without asking a doctor.
• IMPORTANT: This product contains paracetamol; do not take it with other medicines that also contain paracetamol. Paracetamol is contained in many medicines to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, and sleep medicines. If you have liver or kidney disease, talk to your doctor before taking paracetamol. Do not take more than the recommended dose, as this may be harmful, including serious harm to your liver.
