Ameya Calamine Soothing Lotion is indicated for minor skin irritations like sunburn and heat rash. It cools the skin by evaporation and is useful to relieve the pain of sunburn. Calamine lotion is an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine that can be used to treat mild itchiness (pruritus). The topical pink lotion can help relieve itchiness, pain, and discomfort caused by conditions such as bug bites, chickenpox, and poison ivy. This can also be applied to dry out oozing skin irritations and protect skin. Ameya calamine lotion contains the active ingredients zinc oxide and 0.5% iron oxide. The iron oxide gives calamine lotion its distinctive pink colour. Zinc oxide has soothing and healing properties that help relieve itching, discomfort, and pain due to minor skin irritations.
